A Rainy Day Morning

Though the day be born
The clouds subdue to sunlight’s ray
Though the temp be warm
The rain and wind soothes the fray.
Morning has wrought
    And with it brought
Hope and trial within its stay
And though I am bound to work and toil
I will press through and remember to say,
“Bless the day whether dreary or fair
It is a gift to unwrap and slowly bare
For nightfall will come and with it rest
How I used this day will be my gest.”
